Rockford area. The New American Theater is nationally recognized as
one of the finest regional professional theatrical organizations in
the nation. It produces 6 plays each season.
The area also offers an assortment of
museums. Rockford Museum Park is a cultural focal point and
home to
the Rockford Art Museum, Rockford Dance Company, Rockford Symphony
Orchestra, Storefront Cinema and Discovery Center. The Burpee Museum
of Natural History occupies 2 historic mansions and is
home to
"Jane," the skeletal remains of a recently discovered dinosaur.
In the realm of sports, Rockford is
proud home to the Rockford Icehogs, UHL hockey team. We also play
